What happens when Yiddish culture meets Tango Argentino?


A dance? A joke? More questions?

In their current program, the newly founded Hamburger explores Artist collective exactly this subject. In front of the audience. Music, dance, painting and photography merge into one Entire. And at the same time, visitors are taken on a boat trip from Hamburg to Buenos Aires.

"Bas Sheve" Opera

The festival in Toronto, Canada "Ashkenaz" presented a brand new concert production of "Bas Sheve" opera, directed by Neal Stulberg and featuring the UCLA Philharmonia, with soloists Jaclyn Grossman, Jonah Spungin, Marcel d’Entremont and Geoffrey Schellenberg. Produced through a tri-national partnership between Ashkenaz, Yiddish Summer Weimar and the UCLA Lowell Milken Center for Music of American Jewish Experience, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, Azrieli Foundation, Toronto Workmen’s Circle Foundation, Rebanks Family Fellowship Program of Glenn Gould School at The Royal Conservatory, and the UJA Committee for Yiddish.
